Tenting Information and Tent Mate Requests:
CJL campers live in four-person platform tents and are grouped by age and grade-level into four units. Each unit has seven tents for campers (up to 28 girls per unit) and one counselor's tent. An important part of summer camp is getting to know new people, and campers are given many opportunities during classes, meals, and evening activities to spend time with the girls in their own unit, as well as girls from other units.
Each camper is guaranteed ONE tent mate request. Tent mate requests will be honored if the campers are within one grade of each other and if requests are mutual. If more than one tent mate is requested, we will do our best to honor your request. Campers may also request to be in the same unit, but not the same tent.
The Director has discretion in making tent assignments, and although we make every effort to honor tent mate requests, in rare cases it is not possible. Tent assignments are made about 5 days before each session begins. If the director has a question or concern about your tent mate request, she will call you.

Special Dietary Needs:
Meals at CJL are prepared by our trained dietitian and staff and are served family-style in the camp dining hall. Given adequate notice, we can accommodate campers who are vegetarian and have moderate food allergies and sensitivities, and we work to help these girls become strong self-advocates for their needs. Please notify the camp of any special dietary needs as soon as possible but no later than one month prior to your child’s arrival. Gluten free diets will incur a $25/week fee to defray the costs of preparing special meals. The fee will be added after your application is received, and you will be notified at that time. Counselor-in-Training Applicants:
In addition to this camper application, a separate CIT Information Form is also required. If you did not receive a CIT Application Packet in the mail, please contact the camp office-- info@CJL.org. More information is also available on our website-- www.CJL.org. Go to the "CIT Program" page located under the "For Campers" tab.

Deposit and Payment Information:
A $150 non-refundable deposit for each session is due with your application. This deposit applies only to the camper named on the application and cannot be carried over beyond the current camping season. The remaining balance is due by May 1st. If registering after May 1, the total camp fee is due with your application.
After completing this application, you will automatically be transferred to an online payment page.

Trading Post Deposit:
It’s recommended that $50 per session be put on deposit with the camp Trading Post to cover craft supplies, laundry, candy, personal items, CJL T-shirts, incidental supplies (stamps, envelopes, etc.), and so on. You can pay your Trading Post deposit online by entering the amount in the "Common Charges" section, below. Select any amount in increments of $1. For example, to deposit $50 into your camper's trading post, enter "50" under "Quantity to Purchase."

Discounts and Bonuses:
**Be an Early Bird! Register by January 15 to lock in the Early Bird rate. Early Birds will also receive a limited edition T-shirt at check-in and will be entered to win a free week of camp (one winner each year).
**A 10% discount will be applied to the fee of a second camper from the same family; this discount is for one session only. The discount will be applied by the business manager after the applications have been submitted.
**Receive a 10% discount for hosting a CJL DVD Party (contact the camp office for details).
**Receive a $50.00 bonus for every new camper you refer to CJL. Make sure the first-time camper fills in the appropriate blank on her application form so that the office knows you sent her.
